![]() If you manually enter transactions, YNAB will prompt you to approve the match when the pending version imports. Any edit to a pending transaction will move it to the register where it does impact your budget. Pending transactions in this section don't impact your budget, but you can edit them just like any others by categorizing, entering early, or matching to a transaction you entered yourself. Also, if you don't have any new or current pending transactions, you won't see this section until new ones become available. You'll need to be looking at your register with no search filter applied in order to see the Pending Transactions section.Cleared transactions will import directly into the register as they always have, but if there are any pending transactions at your bank, you will also see a collapsible section for those. Whenever new transactions are made available by your bank (cleared or pending), you will be prompted to import them. You know how sometimes you buy something on your credit card, you then promptly forget about it, and then it poofs into your budget a few days later to remind you of all those dollars you spent? With that caveat out of the way, here's the rundown on what to expect for all things pending transactions! (Keep in mind that not all financial institutions offer support for pending transactions, so you may not see them.) After 2019, we encourage you to move to the new and improved YNAB! We will say, we do have a great track record of supporting our customers on even our oldest products (like that time the other day, when someone wrote in asking about a spreadsheet we sold back in 2006.) What’s new with YNAB, compared to YNAB 4? We’ll officially support YNAB 4 until October 2019-fixing mission-critical bugs, making sure the apps work great and answering all your support questions. Also, you can still use our mobile apps on the go, and manual entry if you choose. Way less tedium, without losing awareness. The way we’ve built the new YNAB you can have transactions imported directly from your bank (so fast! so easy!), but you still have to assign them to the appropriate category. But we realized we were wrong, wrong, wrong. We’ve long since held that direct import would kill awareness and so we’d never do it. It’s our top priority and you can read all about our security practices here and privacy policy here. That’s not a question! But it is a big concern for a lot of people, as it should be. Tell me about the security and privacy of my data. The new YNAB is $98.99 per year or $14.99 per month, plus tax where applicable. The app is faster (and will get even faster).
